CPT Richard Fultz

    Born in Bellefonte, PA in 1966. Graduated from Lewistown High School in 1984. While a freshman in college, joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard on 26 Nov 85 as a private in HHC/2-112. Attended Basic training at Ft Benning GA June 1986. Became involved in Army Rotc while a freshman at Lock Haven University earning a commission as a second Lieutenant in 1988, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education, Social Science in 1989. Attended U.S. Army Airborne school at Ft. Bragg, N.C. in 1987 and also ROTC Advanced Camp. After college graduation in 1989, attended Aviation Officers Basic Course, Air Assault School, and began flight training. Returned to Pennsylvania in May 1990 as the executive officer of HHC/2-104 Aviation. In July 1990 attended the Pennsylvania State Police Academy, graduating in December of 1990 assigned to the Chambersburg Barracks. 1992 went to 28th Division HQ to serve as Aide-de-camp to BG James W. MacVay and subsequently BG Walter Pudlowski. 1994 transferred to HHC/3-109 Infantry. During my stay the unit transitioned to 3-103 Armor. In 1995 attended the Armor Officers Advance course. 1996 transferred to the state headquarters and again served as Aide-de-camp for MG James W. Macvay, the Adjutant General. 1999 transferred back to HHC/2-112 Infantry to serve as the Battalion Motor Officer. Completed Combined Arms and Services Staff School at Camp Pendleton, VA in June 1999. March 2000 took command of A/2-112 Infantry in Huntingdon, PA, the position which is currently held for our deployment to Kosovo - KFOR5A.

    Currently reside in Millerstown, PA. Married with an 11 year old daughter and a son who was born on April 9th, 2003. Current civilian employer is Pennsylvania State Police, Newport barracks.
